LOUISIANA

LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors has announced its intention to merge with Beyer, Stagni & Co., Houma, effective Dec. 1, 2015. The combined firm will operate as LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors. Beyer Stagni’s Houma office will become the fifth LaPorte location. Beyer Stagni principals Roy M. Beyer, Arthur E. Stagni, Pam Fremen and Jodie Arceneaux will join LaPorte as directors.

 

MARYLAND

Top 100 Firm Aronson LLC, Rockville, has launched a financial advisory services practice.

MASSACHUSETTS

On-Call Restaurant Accounting of Denver has opened a sales and support office in Boston, at 225 Franklin Street in the heart. Brian Hardy will serve as the vice president of regional sales for OCRA’s New England territory.

WeiserMazars LLP just released its third annual U.S. Food & Beverage Industry Study, which found that sector decision-makers anticipate a substantial increase in sales, profit and employment for 2015, up considerably from 2014. The study is based on a survey of U.S. companies across the food and beverage industry. The study is online here. Separately, the firm released its 2015 U.S. Water Industry Outlook Study, which found Investment in technology is critical for the nation’s water industry as it strives to address aging infrastructure, reduce operating costs and comply with regulatory issues.
