CALIFORNIA

Gallina, Roseville, announced the launch of Gallina Executive Search Consulting, to offer companies of all sizes and industries help in identifying and hiring quality talent. … Green Hasson Janks, Los Angeles, presented its 2016 Nonprofit Industry Forum on Sept. 15 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for almost 200 nonprofit industry leaders. The firm also debuted a whitepaper on the subject of the forum, “Opportunities and Challenges in a High-Risk World,” which is available online

CONNECTICUT

Marcum LLP and the Connecticut Technology Council announced the winners of the 2016 Marcum Tech Top 40, which recognizes the fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut. The overall 2016 winner was Revolution Lighting. The list of all the winners is available here.
 

GEORGIA

Padgett Business Services, Athens, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its founding in 1966 by Walter Padgett. The company now has more than 300 locations across the U.S. and Canada, and primarily serves small businesses with fewer than 20 employees. It also recently announced a new Business Growth Program for Professionals that provides tax professionals who operate independent businesses a fully supported network.

 

GUATEMALA

Law firm Ral-n Orellana & Asociados Servicios Legales SA has joined Andersen Global.

INDIANA

The CPA Center of Excellence of the Indiana Society of CPAs launched an academic project in partnership with Indiana Wesleyan University and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David that will take students through a student-customized version of the center’s Insight Toolkit to analyze their skill set and areas that may need improvement.

Deloitte announced that it has elevated 623 professionals to partner, an increase of 4 percent from 2015. Twenty-six percent of the new partners are women, an increase of 32 percent from 2015. … The Marcum Foundation, the charitable giving arm of Marcum LLP, raised a total of $242,841.95 for charity between June 1, 2015, and May 31, 2016, its first full year of operation as a national organization. The foundation is funded by Marcum partners and employees who contribute through a variety of channels, including a voluntary planned giving program that supports approximately 30 charities in the six Marcum regions.

PENNSYLVANIA

VIRGINIA

Cherry Bekaert LLP, Richmond, has launched its Cloud Solutions practice, which will help companies understand and migrate to the cloud in three main business areas: ERP, CRM and e-commerce.
