BRAZIL

Olimpio Teixeria Auditores Independentes S/S, Campo Grande City, has joined global accountancy network HLB International.

 

CALIFORNIA

CBIZ MHM LLC and Mayer Hoffman McCann PC have realigned their eight Southern California offices, consolidating leadership and creating the companies' largest single business unit. CBIZ's San Diego, Los Angeles, Irvine, Bakersfield, Oxnard, Temecula and Encino offices have been combined to create a single business unit under the leadership of Paul Nation, who was previously the head of the San Diego and Irvine offices. The San Diego office will serve as the administrative center for the combined offices, which will have a total headcount of 221 employees. Separately, CBIZ expanded its national corporate recovery services practice to the West Coast, wiht Coral Hansen assuming the role of CBIZ CRS managing director of West Coast operations.

 

CHINA

Mazars has integrated with Chinese audit firm ZhongShen ZhongHuan, bringing together more than 1,800 professionals, including 83 partners, from 15 offices across Mainland China.

 

FLORIDA

Birmingham, Ala.-based Warren Averett LLC has expanded its Daily Money Management Division to its Pensacola office. Dee Dee Ward will lead the new Gulf Coast Daily Money Management Division. ... Professional services firm network Alliott Group will host its Meeting of the Americas at the National Hotel in Miami Beach on January 27-29.

 

ILLINOIS

Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP, Chicago, announced the introduction of a "Dress for Your Day" pilot program intended to give team members choices in what they can wear to work based largely on where and with whom they will be working. The pilot is effective immediately in all Baker Tilly offices, and will be evaluated at a later date.

 

JAMAICA

Boldeck Jamaica has joined global accountancy network HLB International.

Clayton & McKervey, Southfield, has joined accounting firm association PrimeGlobal.

 

MINNESOTA

Pieper Whitaker & Bjork LLC has joined Practicewise, a group of CPA firms created by Top 100 Firm Eide Bailly.

 

MISSOURI

Brown Smith Wallace, St. Louis, has added new features to its employee benefit package in an effort to recruit and retain more Millennials. Among the features are paid maternity leave and increased personal time off -- including unlimited vacation for managers and principals -- based on years of service at the firm. Separately, affiliate BSW Small Business Services has changed its name to Entrepreneurial Services Group to better represent the breadth of services the practice offers to entrepreneurs and small businesses. The practice recently added 14 professionals from Bergman, Schraier & Co. through a merger.

 

NEBRASKA

NEW YORK

EisnerAmper LLP released the results from its sixth "Concerns About Risks Confronting Boards" survey. The consistent trend, over all the surveys, is that reputational risk ranks as the top concern.
