HBK Merges in Resnick, Amsterdam, Leshner

HBK CPAs & Consultants has signed a merger agreement with Resnick, Amsterdam, Leshner, P.C., adding an office in Blue Bell, Pa., to Canfield, Ohio-based HBK, along with clients in the sports industry.

The deal gives HBK further growth in the mid-Atlantic region. The firm, also known as Hill, Barth & King, ranked 63rd on Accounting Today’s 2016 list of the Top 100 Firms, with  $60 million in annual revenue.

“We are pleased to welcome the team of Resnick, Amerstam, Leshner into the HBK family,” said HBK CEO and managing principal Christopher Allegretti in a statement. “Clearly a like-minded office, RAL operates on a service philosophy that mirrors our own.”

HBK expanded recently in New Jersey by merging in Cordua, Pastore & Associates and the new deal allows it to expand in Pennsylvania (see HBK CPAs Adds Cordua, Pastore & Associates).

RAL has been in the Blue Bell, Pa. area for the past 32 years. The firm has two dozen employees and focuses on the sports industry. “RAL has become known as the Baseball Accountants and we look forward to expanding our expertise and service offerings under the HBK brand,” said Steve Resnik, a principal at the firm.
