How Tax and Accounting Firms Can Stand Out from the Competition

IMGCAP(1)]Getting your tax or accounting firm in front of customers can be hard with so many competitors on the playing field. However, there are some moves you can make to make sure your firm always has enough work to keep everyone busy.

Here are some secrets that will allow you to make your firm stand out from your competitors.

Market Your Firm with Provable Messages
Many tax and accounting firms refer to themselves as being the best in the area. They also claim to work with hundreds (if not thousands) of clients. They like to brag about themselves in the best light possible, but if asked many would not be able to back up their claims with their actual statistics.

Therefore, instead of saying unbelievable things on your website and social media channels and during any marketing campaign, say things that are relevant, accurate and provable.

For example, tell potential customers how many languages your most successful CPA can speak, or how many team members have an advanced certification. This is what will make you stand out from the other voices in the crowd.

Show Off Your Expertise through a Blog
Your competitors may have a blog, but stand out from them by keeping your blog updated with valuable information each week, including eye-catching photos, and most of all providing them with well-written content that they actually find valuable. Remember to put your newsletter signup form at the top or bottom of each one of your posts and offer them a small token of appreciation for signing up too. Once your list has built up nicely, in addition to updating your blog each week, send out newsletters that may offer “subscriber only” tips or discounts.

Show your potential clients that you know what you are doing and they will remain a loyal client for years.

Form Relationships with Each Client
Consumers have to feel like you are giving them your individual attention or they will go to someone who will. Always let your clients know you are available when they have questions and offer them two or three different ways to get in touch with you quickly during business hours. Send them reminders when important things are coming up. If a long period goes by without speaking with them, just send a friendly note to check in and make sure things are going well with their business.

Make your clients feel special and your business will expand greatly. A happy client will talk to their friends and relatives, which will bring you even more business.

If you want to attract attention away from your competitors and onto your business, following these tips will help you do just that.
