LaPorte to Add Fifth Office with Merger

Top 10 Gulf Coast Regional Leader LaPorte CPAs announced that it will merge with Beyer, Stagni & Co., effective December 1.

The combined firm will operate under the LaPorte name, with Beyer Stagni’s Houma office becoming LaPorte’s fifth location, joining offices in Metairie, Covington and Baton Rouge, and Houston.

“This merger allows LaPorte to expand our geographic footprint along the Gulf Coast and to increase the reach of our services to clients with locations in Louisiana and Texas,” said LaPorte president and CEO William “Ted” Mason, in a statement. “Beyer Stagni’s location in the heart of Louisiana’s oil and gas region and as Houma’s largest local firm increases our ability to serve existing Tri-Parish clients in Terrebonne, Lafourche and St. Mary Parishes and to build on that client base.”

Beyer Stagni principals Roy Beyer, Arthur Stagni, Pam Fremen and Jodie Arceneaux will join LaPorte as directors.

“We are pleased to join LaPorte in this strategic move, which will increase our breadth of client services and provide greater opportunities for our people to develop professionally,” said Roy Beyer. “With LaPorte’s deep resources, we will be able to serve new and existing clients with expanded industry expertise and provide state-of-the-industry technical advice and consulting.”

The addition of Beyer Stagni is expected to give LaPorte total revenue in excess of $25.5 million.
