ORBA Merges in Red Granite

Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams Ltd. has added Red Granite, an accounting and financial services firm that offers cloud-based bookkeeping and outsourced CFO services.

ORBA, based in Chicago, specializes in providing accounting, audit, and federal, state and local tax planning and compliance services. The firm ranked 19th on Accounting Today’s Regional Leaders list for the Top Firms in the Great Lakes region, with $24.7 million in annual revenue.

“We are excited to welcome Red Granite to ORBA,” said ORBA Managing Director Mark Thomson in a statement. "Our association with Red Granite, a virtual CFO and accounting leader, will expand our current CloudController services and provide us with enhanced cloud-based capabilities.”

Red Granite bills itself as “The Entrepreneur’s CFO,” and provides cloud-based bookkeeping, accounting and strategic financial advice to entrepreneurs and businesses.The firm has offices in Chicago and Santa Monica.

“Combined with ORBA, Red Granite can expand our state-of-the-art outsourced accounting services and offer even more services to our clients,” said Red Granite founder Chris Arndt in a statement. “Now, in addition to handling the daily accounting chores and providing key financial reports and metrics to our clients to help them grow, we can also offer them a more integrated tax planning and consulting suite. That sounds pretty awesome to me.”
