ARIZONA

Phillip R. McCollum, Melinda Nelson and Jonathan Poppel have been admitted to the partnership at Henry & Horne, Tempe. McCollum joined the firm in 2015, while Nelson and Poppel joined in 2008.

 

COLORADO

Sean Manning, of Manning & Co. PC, Littleton, received the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Professional Association of Small Business Accountants. He has been a member of the association for 26 years and has served on the board for two terms as a member and president.

 

CONNECTICUT

John W. Auchincloss has joined the Financial Accounting Foundation, Norwalk, as vice president and general counsel, while Matthew J. Broder has joined as vice president of public affairs.

GEORGIA

Jeffrey A. Eischeid has been elected managing partner of Bennett Thrasher, Atlanta, effective July 1, 2016, as part of the succession plan developed by the fim’s founders, Kenneth L. Thrasher and Richard A. Bennett. Eischeid has been with the firm for over 10 years. ... Terry Henderson, Casey Stuart, David Holt and Larry Eddlemon have retired from Mauldin & Jenkins LLC, Atlanta, after more than a collective 140 years of service. Henderson joined the firm in 1977, and Stuart, Holt and Eddlemon in 2013 through Mauldin & Jenkin’s combination with Hazlett, Lewis & Bieter.

ILLINOIS

Brian Morgan has joined Plante Moran, as a partner in its tax solutions group in the Chicago office. ... Alan Whitman has become chairman and CEO of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP, Chicago, after serving for a period as CEO-Elect. (See a video interview with him.)

MASSACHUSETTS

Stephen Chipman, former CEO of Grant Thornton U.S., has been named CEO of Radius, Boston, a provider of global expansion services and solutions. He succeeds Chris Stone, who has stepped down as CEO but will remain a member of Radius’ board of directors.

PENNSYLVANIA

David J. Manbeck, a director at Boyer & Ritter LLC, Camp Hill, and Patricia A. Lauchle, a tax supervisor at the firm, were elected president and treasurer, respectively, of the South Central Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Separately, B&R managers Nathaniel J. Yost and Tina A. Gipe graduated from two executive leadership programs that included helping area nonprofit organizations: Yost from Leadership Cumberland, and Gipe from Leadership Franklin County.
 

TENNESSEE

Sheena P. Murphy has been named director of the CPA Examination Review Board of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, Nashville.

 

TEXAS

Matson Blocker has joined Alvarez & Marsal as a Houston-based managing director in the performance improvement practice.

 

WASHINGTON

Chuck Morgan, formerly of Jackson, Morgan & Hunt PLLC, has joined CliftonLarsonAllen, Seattle. Also joining the firm are Nicholas Vincent, Michael Knowles and Barbara Marcal.
