SCACPA Board Names Chris Jenkins CEO

The South Carolina Association of CPAs Board of Directors announces that Christopher Jenkins, CAE, CISSP, will become chief executive officer effective May 4. Jenkins will succeed Erin Pate, CAE, who has led the association for 10 years.

As SCACPA CEO, Jenkins will lead strategic planning initiatives, foster relationships with strategic partners, and promote and develop member services.

“We are excited to welcome Chris to the S.C. Association of CPAs, said SCACPA Board Chair Bratton Fennell, CPA, CGMA. “His experience and knowledge will bring a new perspective to the association and help us stay relevant as the profession continues to evolve.”

Jenkins currently serves as Chief Information Officer with the Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA). In that role, he advises association leadership on strategies to best leverage emerging technology trends and solutions to benefit the organization.

In his 17 years with OSCPA, Jenkins led a number of initiatives that resulted in increased brand recognition as well as online member collaboration and engagement. Jenkins also developed a comprehensive system of on-demand continuing education resulting in an additional revenue stream.

He serves as a board member for the Ohio Society of Association Executives and Senior Independence. He is also a member of the American Society of Association Executives, where he serves on the Technology Section Council.

Jenkins is a graduate of DeVry University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
