Warren Averett LLC, CPAs and Advisors, is combining with Beason & Nalley Inc. to beef up its government contracting practice in the Southeast.
As part of the deal Beason & Nalley will become part of Warren Averett’s office in Huntsville, Ala., effective Nov. 1, 2016.
Warren Averett, based in Birmingham, Ala., ranked 27th on Accounting Today’s 2016 list of the Top 100 Firms and 2nd on the Regional Leaders list for the Top Firms in the Gulf Coast region, with $123.3 million in annual revenue.
“The addition of Beason & Nalley allows us to offer our clients and our team even more opportunities and solutions,” said Ray White, managing member of Warren Averett’s Huntsville office, in a statement. “We are excited to expand our leadership position in the Huntsville market, while creating a leading government contracting practice group.”
Beason & Nalley is a full-service accounting firm, but many of its clients are government contractors. The firm provides accounting outsourcing, audit, business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, corporate tax advisors, R&D credit studies, human resources consulting and litigation support services. Beyond state and local government contractors, Beason & Nalley also services clients in the nonprofit, technology, real estate and medical sectors.

Four people from Beason & Nalley will join Warren Averett as members and one as principal, along with 16 other employees. The four new members include Cecelia C. Hill in Warren Averett’s tax division, Jeremy H. Jefferys in the corporate audit division, J. Brett Holt in the corporate advisory division and S. Hobie Frady in the corporate advisory division. Sandra R. Baker will be a principal in the firm’s HR solutions division.
