The new program will look to bring in accounting undergrads currently studying for CPA licensure and assorted business majors looking to study financial forensics, amid
The program will be 30-credit-hours featuring six core courses, three non-accounting/ general business courses, and a specialized, accounting elective. The degree will be able to be attained in two years or less. Interested applicants for the new program must also hold a bachelor’s degree, in accounting or otherwise.
“This degree provides the high-level knowledge and range of skills to meet the challenges of today’s accounting control and financial risk needs,” stated Theodore Richardson, dean of the Nathan Bisk College of Business. “Employment opportunities for program graduates are forecast to be very strong, and we are happy to be able to utilize our outstanding faculty and facilities to help students gain entry into the accounting workplace.”
