Greatland Offers Year-End Filing Site for Forms 1099 and W-2

Greatland Corp. has released speedEfiler.com, online reporting software designed for small and midsized businesses and professional accountants to file W-2 and 1099 forms online, meeting filing requirements for federal, state and recipient reporting.

The new speedEfiler.com product also provides direct-to-state filing for all states with filing requirements for W-2 and Form 1099-MISC reporting. This provides customers with a method for getting the required information to state agencies, and provides status reporting so customers can be assured their filings have been received.

Currently, 40 states have a W-2 or 1099-MISC state filing requirement. Greatland’s speedEfiler.com and FileTaxes.com sites facilitate the filings and applicable reconciliation forms.

“The reporting requirements for individual states are so expansive and at times challenging, that we wanted to take the uncertainty out of the mix for today's businesses – nobody wants to worry about being penalized,” said Greatland chief executive Bob Nault. “Over the years, our customers have continually expressed how important state filing is to them, and we are pleased to be able to help them address this important issue at filing time.”

From January through March, Greatland staffs a temporary state filing lab set up in Green Bay to assure regulations are up to date and all forms are filed properly according to state specifications.
