Simpson has been serving a 33-year prison sentence since 2008, when he was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping for leading a group of men in a break-in at a hotel room in Las Vegas occupied by a sports memorabilia dealer. They removed a number of Simpson-related items at gunpoint, claiming the items had been stolen from him.
The former Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers football player, actor and sportscaster faced well-publicized legal troubles when he was arrested for murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994. He was acquitted of homicide charges in a landmark trial in 1995, but was later found liable in a 1997 civil trial for wrongful death and battery.
The IRS filed a tax lien against Simpson’s Miami-area home, according to the Miami Herald, claiming that he owes back taxes of $15,927.89 for 2007, $105,119.71 for 2008, $49,490.27 for 2009 and $8,897.20 for 2010. The home is now in foreclosure.

Al Capone never served a day for murder either, but in the end the IRS got him for tax evasion.
