Kuesel Consulting brings 'Development Academy' to state CPA societies

Wisconsin firm Kuesel Consulting announced this week a partnership with both the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) and the Minnesota Society of CPAs (MNCPA), bringing its Business Development Academy to the organizations and their members.

Art Kuesel, president and instructor of the Development Academy, brings with him more than 20 years of business development and marketing experience within accounting.

“I wanted to grow the business development academy program after its inaugural success last year,” stated Kuesel. “Partnering with the ICPAS and MNCPA is a great way to make the program available to more accountants.”

The program will offer six, half-day sessions on topics ranging from client development to networking and personal brand-building. Those present will create their own development plans, set personal goals, and receive advice on how to best translate business development into everyday use.

“We’re very excited to bring this new program to our members,” said Lynn Kletscher, the MNCPA’s director of education, per a statement. “The academy fills a training gap for CPAs. It provides a proven method for reinforcing the CPA’s role as a trusted adviser and strengthening client relationships.”

“Effective business development is a critical, yet often lacking skill set within accounting firms today,” stated Ralph Gaillard, chief learning officer at ICPAS. “That’s why we are excited to offer this program that was created specifically for accountants as a part of our new ICPAS Academies of Learning, a special sub-set of our education programs.”
