LBMC holds 'Lending Hands' charity week

Tennessee firm LBMC skipped the standard holiday party this year to instead hold a “Lending Hands” charity event, in which staff members helped local nonprofits via hands-on volunteering and donations during regular work hours from Dec 4 - 8.

Held across the firm's three offices, 150 of LBMC's staff members helped give back, with activities ranging from sorting and wrapping gifts for children and seniors, to providing tutoring for homeless children. The firm ultimately contributed 700 volunteer hours and approximately $150,000 to various local nonprofits.

“Office parties are always a lot of fun, but there’s nothing like being able to help those less fortunate, especially during the holidays," said Jeff Drummonds, CEO of LBMC, per a statement. "We have long known how service-minded our employees are and Lending Hands allows us to bring our volunteer efforts together and have an even greater impact in the community.”
