CPA Arrested for Imprisoning Prostitutes as Sex Slaves

A Florida accountant has been arrested and accused of imprisoning three prostitutes in his home, raping the women, acting as a pimp and providing them with drugs.

Timothy Deegan, 53, the owner of Deegan Professional Tax Service in Gainesville, Fla., was arrested last Friday on human trafficking charges, according to the Gainesville Sun. He allegedly videotaped sex acts with the women, which he then put online. Deegan also allegedly hired out the women to act as prostitutes for him in local hotels and paid them with cocaine.

He monitored the women with the GPS on their phones and surveillance cameras he placed around his home in an upper middle-class suburban neighborhood in Gainesville.

Last December, one of the women reported him to the local sheriff’s department, telling officers that he had videotaped himself raping her while she was unconscious. Two of the women later showed police letters from other women accusing Deegan of drugging and raping them.

He was arrested for sexual battery, but released on $250,000 bond. In April, he was arrested again on drug charges, but released in May. However, law enforcement continued to build a case against him and he was arrested again last week. While there was insufficient evidence to keep him under arrest on drug charges, he remained in custody on the human trafficking charges.

An employee at Deegan's office hung up the phone when asked about the arrest on Friday.
