The combined firm will retain the LSWG CPAs name. It will have 10 principals and more than 40 other staff members, including WN CPAs’ staff of five. The firm will have offices in Frederick and Rockville, Md., with clients in the D.C. metro area and beyond. LSWG has been in business since 1965 and completed a similar merger last December. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The firms were introduced by Optimum Strategies CEO Ira Rosenbloom, who served as strategic advisor for the transaction.

“The merger with WN CPAs further strengthens our presence in the Rockville area, and helps us diversify our services and client base,” said LSWG co-managing principal Kevin Hessler in a statement. “It’s also part of our strategic plan for growing our private practice.” LSWG completed a similar firm combination in December 2017.

LSWG’s other co-managing principal, Barbara Roman, said her firm had looked carefully for a firm in the Rockville area whose culture and services complemented its own. “We found the perfect partner in WN,” she added.

WN CPAs partners Steven Weisman and Tracy Noble and their three team members focus on providing sophisticated tax consultancy services to clients. “We’re completely energized by this merger with LSWG,” said Noble. “Both firms share a similar culture. It’s rare that one can find such a great fit.”

“As a combined firm, we now offer a one-stop-shop approach with a full range of services to meet clients’ needs,” said Weisman. “In addition, this move creates more development and growth opportunities for our staff members.”
