La Verdure & Associates, Henvey CPA and Atlas Tax Advisors combine

Details: Three Dallas-area firms—La Verdure & Associates PC, Henvey CPA LLC and Atlas Tax Advisors—have combined operations to form L&H CPAs and Advisors.

The combined firm will provide accounting, tax planning, CFO services, business consulting, wealth advisory and family office services under one roof.

Each firm leader—Maurice P. La Verdure Jr., CPA, Scott Henvey, CPA, and Kyle Walters, CFP, CPWA, CIMA—will become a one-third equal partner in L&H, which has combined revenue of $2.5 million. The three partners will have 10 staff members in the combined firm.

“Maurice and Scott are both entrepreneurial CPAs who bring a great combination of experience and expertise,” said Walters in a statement. “I’m very excited about the combined strength and direction of our new firm because my colleagues and I are uniquely qualified to service the holistic needs of our clients.”

Lewis & Knopf merges in Fausey & Associates

Details: Lewis & Knopf CPAs P.C. has added Fausey & Associates CPA PC, effective Nov. 1, 2017.

Lewis & Knopf is a local mid-market accounting firm based in Flint, Brighton and Fenton, Mich. It specializes in servicing governmental and not-for-profit entities, professional service and retail organizations, auto dealerships, manufacturing and distribution enterprises, and construction companies. Lewis & Knopf currently employs 45 professionals.

“We have a great deal of respect for Fausey & Associates and value the impact they have made in our community,” said Lewis & Knopf managing principal Gregory Waller in a statement. “We believe merging with their firm will further enhance our ability to meet the needs of our clients.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Penny J. Fausey, CPA founded her firm in 1990. The tax and accounting firm is located in Fenton, Mich. and provides a wide array of services.

“Our decision to merge was based on several factors, including our firms’ similar service philosophies,” she said in a statement. “We believe joining with Lewis & Knopf will benefit both our clients and our staff.”

Pennsylvania

Stambaugh Ness acquires Artisan Value Advisors

Details: Stambaugh Ness, a firm based in York, Pa., has acquired Artisan Value Advisors, a business valuation and consulting firm based in York and Reading, Pa., effective Nov. 1, 2017.

Artisans founder Glenn Spinello, CPA/ABV, CVA will join SN as a principal and lead the firm's new Value Advisory practice area. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“This acquisition reflects SN’s commitment to build and strengthen our service menu with sophisticated solutions that proactively meet the growing and complex needs of our clients.” said SN president and CEO Steven L. Hake in a statement. “Through the combined forces of SN and Artisan, we will campaign to educate and engage with business owners to deepen their understanding of business value, and specifically how to grow that value and integrate it as part of their succession planning.”
