Charlotte Accounting Firm MP Boyd Falls Has Died

Boyd Falls, the former managing partner of Austin & Falls CPAs in Charlotte, N.C., has died.

Falls became a CPA in 1969 and formed a partnership that evolved over 40 years into the firm of Austin & Falls CPAs. His firm merged in January with Blair, Bohlé & Whitsitt PLLC.

Falls was also one of the founding members and a past chairman of the International Affiliation of Independent Accounting Firms, which later became Polaris International. He remained active with the association for many years and later voted to support the merger of Polaris International, IGAF Worldwide and Fidunion International to create PrimeGlobal. He died on Tuesday, June 17.

“Though the firm is no longer a PrimeGlobal member, we appreciate his service through the years to our association,” said PrimeGlobal spokesperson Debra Helwig.
