Maryland’s CBM Elects New MP

Peter Reilly, CPA, CVA, has been elected president and managing partner of Bethesda-based accounting firm Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell PC, effective Jan. 1, 2014.

Reilly succeeds current president S. Vincent Crescenzi, CPA, CVA, CFE, who has led the firm since 2000 and will become its chairman. The two have been working together on the leadership transition over the past two years.

“Pete has done an amazing job over his 30-plus-year career at CBM, helping the firm move forward and grow,” Crescenzi said in a statement. “I speak for my partners as well as myself when I say we are excited and confident in Pete’s commitment and abilities to take the reins of leadership at CBM as we approach our 100-year anniversary in 2021.”

Reilly will lead the firm’s operations, with a focus on business development, process improvements, client satisfaction and employee development. He most recently served as director of the firm’s construction and real estate practices, and on its Executive and Quality Assurance Committees.
