Oregon Society of CPAs awards $95K in scholarships for 2017-18

The Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) and the OSCPA Educational Foundation announced this week the recipients of their 2017-18 academic scholarships.

45 top students were awarded with scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000, for a total of $95,000 donated in all. Students were honored for both their academic performance and desire to earn their CPA license to work in the state of Oregon.

The OSCPA Educational Foundation has gone on to donate approximately $1.9 million in scholarships to over 1,200 students since its inception in 1985.

This year's class will be honored at the OSCPA's 2017 Circle of Excellence, held May 9 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. The event will put this year's recipients in touch with local professionals, donors, and firm representative.
