CALIFORNIA

Josh Arnold has joined PwC US as tax partner, in the firm's San Francisco office. Arnold has 13 years of public accounting experience, serving large, publicly traded multinational companies in the technology, telecommunications, energy and resources sectors. Prior to PwC Arnold worked at Deloitte Tax LLP. He earned his B.S. from the University of Mississippi and has active CPA licenses in Georgia and California.

CONNECTICUT

Tracy McKaveney, a senior manager at Mahoney Sabol & Co., has joined the board of directors of LiveKind as treasurer for a three-year term. LiveKind is a non-profit organization that provides an anti-bullying program to schools throughout the U.S.

FLORIDA

Sandie Peterson, a human resource manager and consultant at Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Co., has recently become a Certified Professional Behaviors Analyst.

GEORGIA

Don Dismuke has joined Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, Atlanta, as tax partner. Dismuke is experienced in corporate taxation, merger and acquisition transaction planning and international taxation. He advises on complex tax issues for publicly-traded companies, large privately-held companies and fast-growing portfolio companies held by private equity firms. He also has significant experience with companies operating internationally and has proficiency in cross-border tax provision analysis.

ILLINOIS

Kristal Affram joins SS&G, Skokie, as a senior associate in the firm’s entrepreneurial services group. Prior to SS&G, Affram worked as an accountant/controller at Primary Hospitality Group LLC. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University. Elise Gardner joins as an associate in the assurance department. She comes to SS&G from CEA LLP, where she worked as a staff accountant. Gardner earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and her Master of Science in accounting from the University of Massachusetts. Chelsea Dzura joins as an associate in the entrepreneurial service group. She is a recent graduate of Miami University, with a Bachelor of Science in accountancy and a minor in Spanish. Amanda Lopez joins as a senior associate in the entrepreneurial service group. Prior to joining SS&G, Lopez spent five years as a staff accountant at Wolowicki & Associates, LLC. Lopez earned her Bachelor of Science in accounting from Carroll College. Bee Yang joins as a manger in the tax department. Yang comes to SS&G from Gordon J. Maier & Company LLP, where he served as a tax manager. Yang earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a Master of Science in taxation from the University of Wisconsin. Randi Ginsberg joins the firm as a manager in its tax department. Prior to SS&G, Ginsberg worked for six years at PrivewaterhouseCoops LLP, as a tax senior associate. She earned her Bachelor of Science in taxation from Bucknell University and her master’s degree in Taxation from Baruch College. Andew Hill joins as a senior associate in the assurance department. He comes to SS&G after four years at Plante & Moran PLLC. Hill earned his Bachelor of Science in agricultural accounting and his Master of Accounting Service from the University of Illinois. Benjamin Molina joins as an associate in the tax department. He is a recent graduate of Fresno Pacific University, with a Bachelor of Art in business administration, accounting. Molina also has an associate degree in liberal studies from West Valley Community College.

KENTUCKY

Blake Wilson has joined SS&G, Erlanger, as an associate in the firm’s assurance department. He is a recent graduate of Northern Kentucky University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting. Wilson also previously completed an internship with SS&G.

OHIO

Kevin Fechter has joined SS&G, Akron, as an associate director in the assurance services department. Fechter comes to SS&G with 16 years of experience, most recently having worked as a senior manager of audit and enterprise risk services at a Big Four accounting firm. He will be heading SS&G’s risk advisory service group. Fechter earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting information systems from Easter Michigan University. Alex Slabaugh joins as an associate in the tax department. Slabaugh is a recent graduate of The University of Akron School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor. He comes to SS&G with experience as a tax specialist and law clerk. He also earned both his Bachelor of Science in accounting and MBA from The University of Akron. Megan McElroy joins as a manager in the tax department. McElroy has more than 10 years of experience in public accounting and is a boomerang employee who is returning to SS&G’s Akron office. McElroy earned her Bachelor of Science in accounting and her MBA in accounting from The University of Akron. Ellen Holton has joined the firm as an associate in the assurance department in its Cincinnati office. Holton is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, and played on the women’s basketball team. Kris Morgan joins as an associate director in the tax department. He comes to SS&G with a wealth of experience, including 14 years at VonLehman and Company. Morgan received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky. Tyler French joins as an associate in the assurance department. Previously, French spent a year at Grant Thornton. He has a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, as well as a MBA and a Master in Accountancy from University of Cincinnati. Cathy Wempe joins as a seasonal associate in the entrepreneurial service department. Wempe has several years of experience in sales and marketing. Sara Stanford has joined the firm as an administrative assistant in SS&G’s downtown Cleveland office. Prior to joining SS&G, Standford worked as a procurement support specialist at the University of Florida. She earned her associate degree in political science from the College of Central Florida. Kyle McKinney joins as an associate in the assurance services department. Prior to joining SS&G, McKinney worked as an accounting intern at Modern Industries Inc. He earned his Bachelor of Science in finance, Bachelor of Science in accounting and his MBA from The Behrend College at Penn State Erie. Tracy Taylor joins as an associate in the tax department. Taylor comes to SS&G from Paragon Advisors, Inc. in Beachwood. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and accounting from the University of Cincinnati and her Master of Science in accounting from The University of Akron. Brian Schlabig joins as an associate in the entrepreneurial service group. Previously, Schlabig spent two years as a staff accountant at Dyer Huges Roche Inc. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Miami University. … John Krizansky has been promoted to principal at Howard, Wershbale & Co. Krizansky experience includes working with HUD financed projects, manufacturers, retailers, long-term care organizations, hospitals and health systems, and Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement. Krizansky also provides due diligence services for acquisitions of privately held companies. Kate Protsenko-Blake and Michael Shoffner were promoted to senior managers. Dottie Hauman, Daniel Kaminski, Russell Majkrzak and Randy Wolan were promoted to managers; Laura Bove, Christina Luangrath, Shayna Raj, Andrew Somich, Ben Stumpf and Ben Whalley were promoted to senior accountants. The firm hired George Timoteo as a senior manager, Nicole Trimmer, Nicholas Kaplan, Miranda Allen, Michelle McCon and Neal Evers as staff accountants, Gregory Garey and Leslie Graham as software trainers and Kristine Kalinic as assistant controller.

PENNSYLVANIA

Susan Gibble has been promoted to senior II accountant in the firm’s audit services department. She provides audit services for local governments and municipalities and not-for-profit organizations. In addition, Gibble is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, who is certified in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Enterprise, and QuickBooks Online, providing QuickBooks consulting, training and support services for the firm's clients. Clinton Clevenstine joined the firm as a staff I accountant in the firm’s accounting services department. Clevenstine provides accounting and tax services for privately-held companies, family-owned businesses and individuals.

WASHINGTON, D.C.

Jay Sciuto, an audit partner at Tate & Tryon, has recently passed the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners exam and met the requirements to become a Certified Fraud Examiner.
