Conor Moore has been appointed national co-leader of KPMG LLP’s Venture Capital practice in San Francisco. Moore will drive strategy and client services, broaden KPMG relationships with venture capital firms, venture-backed companies and start-ups, and serve as the lead partner on several large client engagements. Moore succeeds Packy Kelly, who has been appointed as the leader of KPMG's Global Semiconductor practice. ... CalCPA honored four CPAs with its Women to Watch Awards for 2014 during ceremonies at the Women's Leadership Forum. Gail Anikouchine and Shannan Gardner received the awards in the experienced leader category. Anikouchine is an audit partner at MacFarlane, Faletti & Co., Santa Barbara. Gardner is a tax partner in the Orange County office of Moss Adams. Receiving awards in the emerging leaders category were Tayiika Dennis and Jameson Montanio. Dennis is a senior manager at NSBN, Beverly Hills. Montanio is a partner in training at Winningham Becker & Co., Woodland Hills.

FLORIDA

Rebecca Lorenz has joined Kaufman Rossin to the firm’s forensic, advisory and valuation team in Fort Lauderdale. Lorenz will manage family law and other forensic engagements, primarily focused on the Broward and Palm Beach County markets. Lorenz comes to Kaufman Rossin from San Antonio, Texas, where she gained experience managing family law and forensic and litigation consulting engagements.
