Product News: QuickBooks releases June updates

QuickBooks Online releases June updates

This month, QBO announced that the dashboard will no longer include unaccepted transactions from bank feeds. The P&L widget will now align with numbers on the dashboard P&L in order to provide greater visibility on financials. Users will also be able to filter dashboard insights by date to allow for greater consistency when looking at designated fiscal periods.

Employers can now invite their employees to sign up for payroll using a six-digit security code. Employees can then select direct deposit or paper check, submit federal and state tax information, and also receive emails when their paystubs are available on ViewMyPaycheck.

QBO has also added CC/BCC to invoices, estimates, credit memos, sales receipts, refund receipts, purchase orders, recurring templates and sales transactions.

Empire Suite updates time and expense app

The company, which makes project accounting, resource management, and project financial tracking software, has updated its time and expense app available for download from Apple iTunes. Users will notice and upgraded user interface, new features in the compliance function, better data capture, analytics, and financial control, and support for personal time off (PTO) and resource assignment viewing. The most notable updates can be seen in Empire Time Off and Empire Resource. Users with the appropriate permissions can now request, review, reject or cancel a PTO request via Time Off in the app. When viewing upcoming project assignments in Resource, color-coded alerts notify the user whether they are under, over, or booked just right.
