QuickBooks updates layout across products

Intuit Inc. has updated its layout to provide consistency across all its QuickBooks products, including QB Online, QB Online Accountant, QB Self-Employed, Payroll and Payments.

The company has streamlined its design and simplified its color palette, as well as making modifications to individual products.

QBO now has an updated dashboard, with new profit and loss charts that include downloaded bank transactions that convert to solid lines once a user reviews and accepts them into QuickBooks Online. All activity can now be found in the audit log using the gear icon in the top navigation bar, and the program now offers tips and tricks for how to better use QBO. On the updated Customers page, the new invoice tracker has brighter colors to draw the eye to numbers that need attention, and a larger font to improve visibility of all numbers.

QBOA has been similarly updated, but keeps the green header bar that distinguishes the user’s dashboard from the client’s. A new navigation bar has a lighter background, but no icons. A dark green, vertical indicator highlights a user’s selection.
