Rea & Associates donates over $5K to Humane Society

Top 100 firm Rea & Associates, along with Walthall CPAs, a firm slated to merge into Rea this November, recently held their “Paws-To-Paws” campaign, benefiting the Humane Society of the United States and their response help animals affected by the 2017 hurricanes.

The campaign, which ran from September 25 through October 6, ultimately raised $5,880 to be donated to the Humane Society. All donated funds from staff members were matched by The Rea Foundation, which also donated $25 for every pet picture tagged with “#PawsToPaws” and shared on the firms' social media accounts.

“As we prepare to merge Walthall into Rea & Associates, we know that community service is at the heart of both of firms’ cultures," stated Becca Davis, Rea’s director of practice growth. "This initiative allowed us to bring our firms together toward a common goal and to work together as ‘one firm’ for the first time, all while reinforcing that culture and helping the animals affected by the recent hurricanes. Animal relief organizations are often forgotten when a disaster occurs – especially weeks and months after the fact. We wanted to do our part to ensure that the countless animals that are still in need of assistance are cared for.”
