Receipt Bank update helps accountants nudge clients for receipts

Receipt Bank, which makes bookkeeping automation software, has updated its bookkeeping dashboard Practice Platform with automatic push notifications to clients, item level messaging and new efficiency metrics. These tools connect Practice Platform with Receipt Bank’s mobile app, allowing accountants and bookkeepers to communicate directly with their clients in the same area as they manage the rest of their bookkeeping workflow.

The impetus behind the update was user research conducted by Receipt Bank, which found that one of the principal difficulties for accountants and bookkeepers is getting receipts and invoices from their clients.

Following the update, Practice Platform sends clients automatic push notifications based on their submission habits. These appear on the client’s phone, reminding them to submit their receipts and invoices.

Another new feature is the ability to clarify, attribute or categorize items within any item stored in Receipt Bank. Accountant and bookkeeper users can start a conversation thread in any submitted item, and the client receives a notification to their mobile app where they can reply. Receipt Bank securely stores all conversation history as a record.
