ReportAmigo is now available for QuickBooks Online

ReportAmigo has completed integration of its reporting software with QuickBooks Online (QBO). The startup reporting software provider was founded last year from within SaaS accelerator ChimiChurri, when ChimiChurri sought a solution for helping its staff members read and interact with reports more effectively.

Originally created as a Xero plug-in, ReportAmigo’s venture into the wider accounting software marketplace signals a growth trajectory for the interactive reports.

The core functions of ReportAmigo are to distribute cloud-based reports over email and text messages. The reports can be configured to be sent on any schedule, including daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly; and users can curate the individuals or groups to whom the reports are sent. Because they are cloud-based, the reports can be viewed on most devices with an internet connection. ReportAmigo also allows users to measure engagement, so report creators can see who is and how many people are opening the report.

Founder Sebastián Brocher said last year that he was inspired by how company messaging platforms such as Slack help teams work more efficiently, so he incorporated the ability for employees to collaborate on the reports by writing comments that in turn can then be addressed by other people viewing the report, or the report’s creator. Because they are cloud-based, the comments are updated on the reports in real time.

“With over two million users, the integration with QuickBooks Online marks a significant step forward in our strategy to expand our addressable market and augment the value we bring to our own customers — many of whom have clients in both QuickBooks Online and Xero.” Brocher said in a blog post. “Now they can use ReportAmigo with their clients across both platforms.”

The QuickBooks integration currently supports the following reports:

  • Key trends (profitability, liquidity and equity)
  • Profit and loss
  • Balance sheet
  • A/P aging summary
  • A/R aging summary
  • Cashflow statement
  • General ledger
  • Trial balance
