Robert Half releases 2018 salary guide for accountants

The staffing firm Robert Half has published its 2018 salary guides for different industries, including accounting and finance.

The salary guides include salary data for various jobs in accounting and finance, along with local market variances. Jobs include CFO, director of finance, director of accounting, chief audit executive, cost accountant, tax accountant, financial analyst, budget analyst and more.

In addition to accounting and finance, Robert Half provides separate salary guides for technology, administrative, legal, and creative and marketing jobs.

The guides include advice from Robert Half recruiters from around the country on key factors driving job searches, such as compensation, corporate culture, career path, cost of living, and commute.

“We’re seeing job seekers take an increasingly holistic view when assessing whether to accept a job offer,” said Robert Half senior executive director Paul McDonald in a statement. “Salary is still king, but professionals are paying more attention to other factors that can affect their quality of life. Highly skilled professionals want assurance that the company will invest in their careers and help them keep their skills current. This is especially true in industries that are changing rapidly, like technology and finance.”

Separately, another staffing firm, Accounting Principals, released its salary guide Wednesday (see Accounting Principals releases 2018 salary guide).
