Sage Foundation has $1M to give innovative nonprofits

Sage has launched the Sage Foundation’s Enterprise Fund, which has a pool of $1 million and is open to nonprofits with enterprise ideas that help improve the lives of military veterans, young people or women and girls. The Fund was introduced at last year’s Sage Summit with the goal of getting the company’s colleagues, partners and customers involved in “a common vision for change.”

The Enterprise Fund aims to help nonprofit organizations generate further income, create new initiatives or enhance existing and proven activity. The $1 million will be split between two rounds of $500,000, with the second amount ready for release in July. Applications for the first round are open until April 5; grants between $5,000 and $35,000 will then be awarded to successful applicants. The foundation is especially looking to fund organizations that are currently small but have ambitions to expand deliver sustainable change, and that have traditionally hard-to-fundraise needs such as capital projects, core running costs or new innovations.
