Richmond, Ind. (September 20, 2012)

By Michael Cohn

CPA firm management consultants Rita Keller of Keller Advisors and Gary Adamson of Adamson Advisory have introduced SurveyCPA, a set of survey tools designed for the accounting profession.

An employment engagement survey is designed to help owners of CPA firms assess what their team thinks about the firm and assist them in determining how to follow-up.  SurveyCPA also includes an upward evaluation survey with 21 questions written that can be used to assess partners as part of their annual compensation process. The third tool is a client satisfaction survey asking clients for feedback to help improve and focus the firm. As part of its premium survey offering, SurveyCPA will tailor a services section specifically for firms that will determine if there are additional services that their clients have an interest in buying.

Rita Keller

“In consulting with firms across the country the last several years, Gary and I saw a need to develop a tool which would help survey not only clients, but partners and employees as well,” said Keller.

“It is a well-known fact that employees that have strong feelings of engagement stay with their employer and demonstrate a superior job performance,” said Adamson.  “Firm leaders agree that retaining their best performers ensures client satisfaction, enhances firm profitability and lays the groundwork for firm success.”

Gary Adamson

All of the surveys were created with questions that apply specifically to public accounting. They also include benchmarking capabilities. Beyond the current-year data, firms will receive national comparisons in the second and subsequent years that firms participate. Historical comparisons for each individual and the firm will also be included. Firms will receive a review of the results by a consultant and a telephone conference that provides analysis, comments and answers on the surveys.
