UHY donates $25K to Double H Ranch

UHY announced on Wednesday a new $25,000 sponsorship with the Double H Ranch nonprofit organization based in Lake Luzerne, N.Y.

The Double H Ranch program, co-founded in 1992 by Charles Wood and actor Paul Newman, provides special programs and year-round support to more than 60,000 children and their families dealing with life-threatening illnesses. UHY's recent sponsorship is looking to create more awareness and support for the project.

“As the Albany Business Review’s Nonprofit of the Year, UHY is proud to support a local charity with a global impact,” stated Michael Mahoney, CEO of UHY Advisors NY and managing partner of UHY. “From horseback riding to arts and crafts, we felt that the Double H Ranch’s efforts to provide fun outdoor activities and outreach to hospitals for children with life threatening illnesses – as well as their families - was an ideal philanthropic partnership. Supporting the Double H Ranch also reflects UHY’s commitment to our local communities."

On December 22 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm ET, local affiliate station CBS 6 will air a 60-minute documentary on the Double H Ranch. As a sponsor, UHY will be featured with a 30-second vignette highlighting the firm's involvement with the campaign. The program will feature multiple telethon breaks with chances to donate and will continue to air at various times over the next few months.
