UHY purchases car seats for new families in need

UHY Advisors announced on Friday that the firm presented The Foundation for Ellis Medicine with a $2,500 grant to the Ellis Medicine’s Bellevue Woman’s Center and their Bringing Baby Home initiative in Schenectady, N.Y.

UHY's donation will go towards 33 car seats for new parents in need, as well as mothers of premature children. The Bringing Baby Home program is specifically designed for parents to transport their newborns during their first trip home.

“UHY LLP is dedicated to serving the community in which we have been proud to operate for more than 50 years. Bellevue Woman’s Center is an outstanding resource for new and growing families, and we are pleased to support the Bringing Baby Home program,” stated UHY office managing partner – capital region Howard Foote. “This donation will help provide important security to the parents of today while ensuring the safety of the adults of tomorrow. On behalf of the UHY family that prides itself on delivering the ‘next level of service’, UHY is proud to help the hospital protect the next generation of families.”

The new seats will be awarded by the Ellis Medicine nursing and social work staff. Bringing Baby Home is made possible by the Foundation for Ellis Medicine’s Corporate Partners Program.

“Ellis Medicine is extremely grateful for this generous donation that will be used to help dozens of families in need across the Capital Region,” said Paul Milton, president and CEO of Ellis Medicine, per a statement. “The Bringing Baby Home initiative will ease the mind of numerous parents transporting their child throughout the community. We are pleased to create a program that will continue to protect the children beyond our hospital doors.”
