Walsh & Borresen Merges with WithumSmith+Brown

Walsh & Borresen LLC has combined its practice with WithumSmith+Brown PC.

The merger, which went into effect on March 1, 2014,  added 10 professionals to WS+B’s roster. Walsh & Borresen will relocate in the spring to WS+B’s offices in Morristown, N.J.

“We have been seeking the right strategic partner to enhance our presence in the New York metropolitan area, and we found the perfect match with Walsh & Borresen in terms of expertise, geographic location and culture,” Kirk Holderbaum, partner-in-charge of WS+B's Morristown office, said in a statement. “Our new colleagues pride themselves on providing clients with outstanding client service, aligning with the commitment made to all WithumSmith+Brown clients.”

The WB professionals provide primarily tax services to businesses and business owners, specializing in inbound international taxation for both entities and individuals, corporate tax accounting services, transactional advice and tax services to high net worth individuals. They also have experience in many other industries.

"The ‘win, win’ aspect of this move is that we will be adding professional strengths such as WS+B’s national and international affiliations, a complete complement of professional accounting and financial services, and additional experienced staff to assist our new and existing clients as the need arises,” said Walsh & Borresen managing partner Patrick Walsh. “In return, WS+B’s Morristown office will be gaining the broad experience and knowledge of WB partners and staff, to better serve clients in the New York metropolitan area.”
