Weaver Merges with RIN Attest and Advisory Services

Weaver has added RIN Attest and Advisory Services to its firm. The merger gives Weaver a boost in the energy compliance and renewables industry.

David Bennett, founder of RIN Attest and Advisory Services, is joining Weaver as a partner in Weaver’s energy compliance services practice, where he will be based out of the Stamford, Conn., office. Bennett’s practice specializes in attestations required under the Renewable Fuel Standard regulations, as well as renewable energy business intelligence solutions.

Bennett has worked extensively with more than 100 companies in the renewable fuel industry, providing in-depth guidance and support, as well as assuring compliance with EPA regulations.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in public accounting, renewable energy, corporate finance and operations, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and the implementation of financial reporting systems.

Bennett is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New Jersey Society of CPAs, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the American Bar Association. Bennett earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Rutgers University.
