NASBA Revamps National CPE Sponsor Registry Site

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy’s National Registry of CPE Sponsors has opened a newly redesigned website where organizations, continuing professional education providers, state accountancy boards and CPAs can find information about providing and taking CPE courses across the country.

The new site, NASBAregistry.org (previously known as learningmarket.org), includes descriptions and videos explaining the application process for each CPE instructional delivery method, CPE requirements for every jurisdiction, along with sponsor profiles, the new Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education Programs and more. The site’s format is designed to optimize viewing for various types of devices, including desktops, tablets and smartphones.

The re-designed website coincides with the effective date of the recently revised CPE standards, which were released earlier this month. The site includes information related to the requirements and application review process for two new instructional delivery methods: blended learning and nano learning. It also provides a starting point where organizations can ask for an application for membership in the National Registry or for adding an instructional delivery method, including the new blended and nano learning methods, to their current membership. A best practices section is also available.

In addition to the website, the content and functionality of the National Registry application forms have been updated to comply with the revised standards and to provide for a better user experience. A tutorial is also available to help users navigate the site.
