NSA Scholarship Foundation announces 2011 recipients

The National Society of Accountants Scholarship Foundation recently awarded 31 students with funding for their accounting education.

Having provided more than $1 million to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in accounting since 1969, this year the foundation is bestowing scholarships ranging from $500-$2,000.

The recipients were chosen from 500 applicants based on academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, stated goals, and financial need.

“We are delighted to see continuing strong interest from students looking to enter the accounting profession,” said NSA Scholarship Foundation president Martha A. Bell in a statement. “These scholarships will help them reach their educational goals and we look forward to seeing them join the profession in the future.”
