AICPA ADDS BLACKBERRY TO MEMBER ELITE VALUES PROGRAM: The AICPA has said that Research In Motion (RIM) has been added to its portfolio of AICPA Member Elite Values Programs, which facilitates members getting optimal pricing and support services for BlackBerry handsets, software, and accessories. More information is at SAGE RELEASES INTEGRATE FRONT AND BACK OFFICE: Sage's MAS 90 and MAS 200 ACT! Link integrate with ACT! by Sage 2007 and ACT! by Sage Premium for Workgroups 2007 (9.0) launched last fall, as well as offer compatibility with ACT! by Sage 2006 and ACT! by Sage Premium for Workgroups 2006. This enables front-office personnel to access back-office data to manage customer relationships. The bi-directional Link enables two-way data sharing between sales and accounting, which eliminates duplicate data entry, improves data integrity and reduces overall operational costs.

THOMSON ACQUIRES ePROPERTYTAX: Thomson Tax & Accounting has acquired ePropertyTax, which offers solutions for corporate tax departments looking to manage property taxes throughout the U.S. and Canada. The ePropertyTax software already aligns with Thomson's Tax & Accounting's software and services for income tax, transaction tax, trust, and 1099 solutions.

PAYCYCLE ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONALS' PROGRAM ADDS FLEXIBLE PAYROLL: PayCycle has announced the 2007 release of its payroll service for accounting professionals who work with small businesses. The new version supports both payroll practitioners and those who choose to refer clients, and includes enhancements to ease the payroll burden on small-business clients, including electronic filing of the new IRS Form 944.

CABINET NG UNVEILS DM APP: Cabinet NG has released its latest document management software, CNG-SAFE 5.8 and CNG-Books 4.0, a new release of its DM solution for QuickBooks. The version offers "Dynamic WorkFlow," which allows users to define rules that will route documents electronically based on a range of variables. The status of in-process workflows is also displayed. CNG-SAFE 5.8 also provides SMBs with other upgrades, including enhanced content search, the ability to convert, scan, and export to PDF, and e-mail alerts. CNG-Books 4.0 also supports enhanced document list viewing from within QuickBooks, and allows users to display all transactions in process from one screen.
