IRS Webinar Offers ‘A to Z’ Details on the RTRP Exam

The IRS has announced a live webinar, “Get Prepared: A to Z Details on the Registered Tax Return Preparer Test,” that will be shown Wed., Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. Eastern.

The program will cover the latest information from the IRS Return Preparer

Office about the RTRP test. The free one-hour broadcast will explain the requirements for those who wish to take their career to the next

level and become an RTRP, and will be presented by Carol Campbell, the new director of the Return Preparer Office, and deputy director Preston Benoit.

Registration is available at the IRS webinar registration site. Certificates of completion are being offered for this broadcast, and this webinar qualifies for one CE credit under “federal tax.” Viewer questions may be e-mailed to IRS.Live@irs.gov during the broadcast.

 The event will be archived on the IRS Video Portal approximately three weeks after the live event.

So is this webinar indeed postponed, as announced earlier this morning, or now re-scheduled for the same time as originally scheduled? Please clarify. Thanks.

The IRS has announced that because of Hurricane Sandy, the webinar has been postponed. No future date has been announced.
