He regularly ranks among the top CFO's in banking � both while in the US�and UK.He previously served as the Group Finance Director of The Royal Bank of�Scotland Group plc �and played a key role - (working closely with former RBS�CEO Stephen Hester) - to restructure the bank following the U.K. government's bail out � the biggest banking bail out in the world � in 2008�and 2009.At Bank of New York Co., Mr. Van Saun headed a complex asset swap with JP�Morgan Chase and was instrumental in the game-changing $16.5 million merger�with Mellon Financial Corp.Mr. Van Saun served as CFO of the new bank, Bank of New York Mellon Corp.,�which was the world�s largest securities servicing and asset management�firm. He played an essential role in Bank of New York Co. Inc. strategic�development, strengthening its financial position and transforming its�business mix through more than 80 acquisitions and two major divestitures.Prior to that, he held senior positions with Deutsche Bank, Wasserstein�Perella Group and Kidder Peabody & Co.
