Cathy Reines joined First Heritage Bank in November 2005 as President and was appointed CEO in January 2007. Prior to her appointment, she worked for more than eight years as a Partner with McGladrey & Pullen, the fifth largest CPA firm in the country, responsible for performing and overseeing community bank financial statement audits; and as a Managing Director of RSM McGladrey, a consulting firm specializing in serving community banks, overseeing outsourced internal and compliance audits and various consulting engagements. In 2003 Cathy left RSM McGladrey and joined a $600 million commercial bank holding company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and in early 2005 founded Converge Consulting, Inc., a risk management consulting firm until joining First Heritage Bank.In 1989 Cathy received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Central Washington, passed the CPA examination, and began her career with Ernst & Young. She maintains her CPA license to this day. She has 4 children and 2 grandchildren and is active in the community. She sits on 5 community boards and two banking related boards with her passions being education and banking. She was recently named Snohomish Countys 2010 Executive of the Year.
