Christopher Baron joined The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. in January 2014 as a Managing Director in the Public Finance Group. He is responsible for managing state and local government clients and prospects, including the origination and structuring of lines of credit, direct loans and placements, standby bond purchase agreements, and letters of credit.Previously, Chris led a team of 15 bankers at U.S. Bank focused on serving large education and nonprofit sector clients on a national level and covered governmental issuers in the Western United States. Prior to that he was a managing director at The Bank of New York Mellon/BNY Capital Markets, Inc. where he was responsible for the public finance division�s municipal business in the western half of the country.�Based in Los Angeles, Chris has been involved in the credit enhancement and liquidity markets since the early 1990s. While working for multiple financial institutions, Chris has provided credit enhancement and/or liquidity support to hundreds of tax-exempt issuers throughout the nation.�Chris is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles and holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
