Constance draws on a deep background in cutting-edge issues of technology and law to navigate startups, financial institutions, and governments through evolving issues of first impression in the complex regulatory frameworks and legal regimes for financial technologies in the information age.� Currently, Constance serves on the boards of several digital currency companies and supports startups and traditional financial institutions in global financial regulations, licensing and compliance, government advocacy, corporate restructuring, and strategic market development for digital currencies and distributed cryptographic ledger technologies (www.sevenadvisory.com). Prior to these roles, Constance served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Kraken (www.kraken.com), where she helped transform a software development startup into a globally respected financial institution. Constance is a member of the California State Bar, holds a J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law, and undergraduate degrees from Brown University and University of Cambridge. She formerly practiced at Kirkland & Ellis, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the Samuelson Law, Technology & Public Policy Clinic, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Perkins Coie, focusing on internet law, IP law, privacy, data security, and constitutional rights.� As one of the original founders of Kraken and DATA (www.datauthority.org), the self-regulatory organization for digital currency firms comprised of over 30 companies worldwide, Constance spearheads sound public policy for these emerging technologies, and is a frequent public speaker on the transformative potential of digital currencies and other cryptographic, distributed ledger technologies.
