Senior Vice President � Credit & Finance

Mr. Simme spent the majority of his career at Ascena and its predecessor, Charming Shoppes since 1982. He currently is responsible for the credit process and oversight of all payment transaction activities and coordinates other Credit and payment finance operations that included merger and acquisition activity since 2009.Previously, he was responsible for the Company�s treasury, cash management, investments and banking relationships as well as overseeing its merger and acquisition activity since 2009.From January 1991 to October 2009, Mr. Simme was President and Managing Officer of the company�s credit card division and finance profit-center represented requesting more than 35% of company sales. Approximately 6.3% of the U.S. female population had a credit card account issued by the Company under one of many card names that included Fashion Bug, Catherines, Lane Bryant, Lane Bryant Woman, Fashion Bug VISA�, Petite Sophisticate, Arizona Mail Order, Bedford Fair, Willow Ridge, Brownstone Studio, Lew Magram and Monterey Bay.�Mr. Simme was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Company�s wholly-owned credit card bank, Spirit of America National Bank, which included worldwide account servicing operations.Mr. Simme has held various positions to include CFO and Credit Controller and the Director of Internal Audit.� Prior to joining the company, Mr. Simme was employed at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.Mr. Simme is active with the National Retail Federation (the largest national trade association representing the nation�s leading retailers) and was a past Chairman of its Retail Credit Financial Service Group.� He testified before the United States Congressional House Financial Services Subcommittee and has been a presenter at numerous credit and financial panels.� �Mr. Simme graduated from Drexel University with a MBA/MS - Finance and Statistics and Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS � Accounting.� He is a Certified Public Accountant (NY, PA), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
