Louis Freedman

Founding Partner and Managing Member

Louis Freedman is a founding partner and managing member of the collections group at Freedman Anselmo Lindberg LLC, based in Naperville, Illinois, established in 1980. He is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and The John Marshall Law School. Mr. Freedman is a Past President of the Illinois Creditors’ Bar Association, having also served as Legislative Vice President, and has assisted them in drafting and passage of key legislation in the Illinois General Assembly. He is a current board member of the Creditor’s Bar Coalition of Illinois, a group of select firms that manages a robust lobbying and legislative agenda in the Illinois capitol. A charter member of the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys, Lou is the current President and has been instrumental in the formation of the Political Action Committee for Collection Attorneys (PACCA). As a past Chair of the NARCA Federal Governmental Affairs Committee, he worked to establish and maintain relationships with key legislators on Capitol Hill. Lou is a former Chair Arbitrator for the Mandatory Court Annexed Arbitration Program of DuPage County, Illinois. He is a frequent speaker before various Bar and Trade Associations, and has lectured for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
