Michael Lexton

Michael L. Lexton joined the Municipal Finance Group of RBC Capital Markets in April 2012, as head of U.S. transportation financing. During his 34 year career in public finance, he has led well over 200 airport financings totaling nearly $27.0 billion for 55 separate airports or airport systems, including some of the nation’s largest airports, such as Los Angeles, Atlanta, DFW, Houston Airport System, San Francisco, Denver and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. In 1997, Mr. Lexton was selected by then Transportation Secretary, Rodney Slater, to serve on the Congressionally mandated National Civil Aviation Review Commission (known as the Mineta Commission in honor of its Chairman, Norman Y. Mineta) to review the funding and operating mechanisms of the FAA. He also has served on the Associates Board of the Airports Council International – North America. Mr. Lexton has a BS degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
