Nathaniel Borenstein

Nathaniel Borenstein, chief scientist at Mimecast, is best known as the co-creator of the Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) standard and the developer of several widely-used software systems, including the Andrew Message System and metamail. Before joining Mimecast, he was an IBM Distinguished Engineer and previously served as a faculty member at the University of Michigan, Carnegie-Mellon University and Grinnell College. He holds three patents related to Internet payment systems, with other applications pending, and has consulted in numerous cases related to email and Internet payments.
