Rick Calero

Executive Vice President, Community Banking

Rick Calero joined Umpqua Bank as their executive vice president of community banking in November 2010. He is responsible for deposit growth strategies, small business and consumer lending, as well as Umpqua’s innovative product delivery and customer experience services. Rick has more than 10 years of retail banking experience, formerly as regional sales and marketing director for Citibank in Dallas, Texas, where he oversaw seven market regions and 330 branch locations. Previously, he served as consumer banking executive at Regions Financial Corporation. Rick is fluent in Spanish with experience working, living, and studying in 12 different countries. He has a Master’s in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business and received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Fordham University in New York. Rick recently joined BAI’s Board of Directors, is a member of the Corporate Executive Board’s Council on Financial Competition Executive Circle, and a member of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs.
