Assistant Director. Office of Consumer Response

Scott Pluta is currently serving as the Assistant Director for the Office of Consumer Response at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.�Scott joined the Bureau in the fall of 2010 as an attorney on the U.S. Department of Treasury Implementation Team.� Since then he has been involved in every major facet of Consumer Response�s design, development, and operation.� Notably, Scott was the principal driver within the Bureau, and co-author of the policy that created, the Public Consumer Complaint Database in June 2012.� Scott graduated with honors from the University of Chicago in 2000. After graduation he joined investment bank Lazard Fr�res & Co, working in their New York and Chicago offices as a banking analyst.� Scott graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2005.� After graduation he joined the law firm of Winston & Strawn, working in their Washington, D.C. office as a litigation associate focused on white collar criminal defense.� Prior to joining the Bureau Scott served in the Obama Administration at the Department of Homeland Security in the Office of the General Counsel.
