Grant Thornton, Denton, named Sonja Hightower, a first-year doctoral student at the University of North Texas, the first person to be honored as a Grant Thornton Doctoral Fellow in Accounting, which comes with a $40,000 award to be divided over four years if Hightower continues to meet yearly application criteria.
